Terms of service
Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 2026
Company: Current Logistics
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
These Terms of Service apply whenever Current Logistics arranges shipping, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics services for you. They are designed to keep our relationship clear, transparent, and fair for everyone involved.
1. Our Role
Current Logistics acts as a freight forwarder. We arrange the movement of cargo through trusted shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and customs partners.
The actual transportation of goods is carried out by these third-party carriers and is subject to their own terms, conditions, and applicable international transport regulations.
2. Quotations
All quotations provided by Current Logistics are valid only for the period specified in the quotation.
As freight rates, fuel surcharges, and currency exchange rates can change rapidly, quoted prices may be revised if market conditions change before your booking is confirmed.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the following charges are additional:
-
Customs duties and taxes
-
Port and terminal charges
-
Storage and demurrage charges
-
Inspection fees
-
Government levies and related expenses
3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure smooth transportation of your shipment, you agree to provide:
-
Accurate cargo descriptions
-
Correct weight, dimensions, and cargo value
-
Complete and valid shipping documents
-
Proper packaging suitable for transport
-
Advance written declaration of any dangerous, restricted, or hazardous goods
Providing incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays, penalties, additional charges, or shipment refusal.
4. Payment Terms
Invoices are payable according to the payment terms agreed upon in writing.
Current Logistics reserves the right to withhold the release of cargo, shipping documents, or related services until all outstanding payments have been settled. This practice is standard within the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
5. Cargo Insurance
Cargo insurance is arranged only upon your written request.
We strongly recommend insuring every shipment for its full value. Cargo insurance provides valuable protection against unforeseen events and is generally inexpensive compared to the value of the goods being transported.
6. Limitation of Liability
As a freight forwarder, our liability is limited by applicable Indian laws and international conventions governing sea, air, and road transportation.
Current Logistics shall not be liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
-
Carrier schedule changes
-
Customs inspections or decisions
-
Port congestion
-
Government restrictions
-
Natural disasters and adverse weather conditions
-
Strikes or other force majeure events
For this reason, cargo insurance is highly recommended for all shipments.
7. Claims
If you experience any loss, damage, or issue with your shipment, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery.
Prompt notification allows us to work quickly with carriers and insurers to pursue any available recovery on your behalf.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
